saw your post on craigslist. your project looks very intriguing. i'd love to be a part of it, but as a teacher, i just can't take that chance. i'll be following your journey. best of luck to you.

Thanks so for the comment and for your support! I can totally understand your situation-- in fact, my partner Heather is a high school teacher "by day". She's actually out (well, sort of) for the first time EVER at work THIS year. It's definitely been a very interesting (CAUTIOUS) process... once she started her own personal coming out journey a couple of years ago-- she went searching for any sort of suppport group that she could find for gay and lesbian teachers (you'd think that every metro area would have one), but unfortunately she couldn't find anything-- so after some thought (and a lot of planning and research) she started one herself! It's called GLBTeachers and she's now actually partnered with the local chapter of GLSEN.
